I’m Marc – but most people know me as Carp Cartel Marc. Born and raised in Tottenham, North London, and completely obsessed with carp fishing. I only started properly chasing carp in 2023, but since then I’ve lived on the bank 2–3 days a week. Mirror carp are my weakness, and my current PB stands at 32lb 09oz – and trust me, I’m nowhere near done yet.
My setup’s simple and confident: 10ft 3.5tc rods, heli rigs with Slip D’s, and when the situation calls for it, a Ronnie goes straight on. Once I’ve found a spot I’m happy with, that’s me settled. I fish chilled, patient, and only move when I’m certain the carp have left the postcode.
I’m part of the Baits by A.K.I. team as a brand ambassador and bankside grafter, helping fly the flag, test new ideas, and put fish on the mat using the bait I believe in. And I’ve said it before - “Whoever came up with the Purple A.K.I. concept is a pure genius and deserves a medal.” No surprise it’s my go-to bait and the first thing out the bag every session.
